Survey description
A Multidisciplinary team meeting (MDT) has become an integral part of cancer care. These have grown in terms of patient numbers and staff members involved in MDTs, since they were conceived, and models of care have evolved based on local expertise on needs. The national and regional provision of MDTs is unknown, and a multi-disciplinary working group was set up under overview of NHS England to evaluate the national provision and set-up of liver and Hepatobiliary MDTs, but also to explore if other cancer types are incorporated.
Given the increasing complexity a survey was proposed to explore some of the issues around MDTs. We seek feedback from as many disciplines as possible and hence the survey will be placed within surgical, radiology, clinical oncology, hepatology and gastroenterology organizations and societies. In addition to the survey an expert panel will develop Delphi statements for MDTs which will require 80% approval from the MDT working group, this also includes patient groups.
This survey may take 10-15 minutes to complete but it is important we get as many responses as possible.
It is hoped findings from the survey would then be publish in a peer reviewed publication.
