BAPN

The British Association for Paediatric Nephrology (BAPN) is the specialist professional body representing the multi-disciplinary workforce caring for children and young people with kidney disease across the United Kingdom.
As a specialist association of the UK Kidney Association, BAPN leads on clinical standards, education, research collaboration and policy development to improve paediatric kidney outcomes nationwide.
Membership Summary
BAPN is an inclusive, multi-professional association. Membership is open to:
- Consultant and trainee paediatric nephrologists
- Paediatricians with an interest in nephrology
- Specialist paediatric nurses and allied health professionals
- Clinical scientists and researchers who focus on paediatric services
- Professionals working in paediatric kidney service delivery, education or research

- To set and improve standards of care for children and young people with kidney disease
- To inform and influence policy affecting paediatric kidney services
- To advance clinical knowledge and skills through education and scientific meetings
- To conduct and promote collaborative research, audit and quality improvement
- To support training and professional development in paediatric nephrology
