ALTP

The UK ALTP was formed in 2010 to bring together UK physicians looking after patients undergoing lung transplantation.

The broad aims are to:

  1. Provide EDUCATION
  2. Provide a platform peer OPINION on difficult clinical cases
  3. Facilitate collaborative RESEARCH
  4. REPRESENT UK lung transplant physicians in a national and international stage, and issue position statements where needed
  5. ENGAGE with other key organisations in the field of lung transplantation
  6. Build RELATIONSHIPS between UK lung transplant physicians and other key professional groups within the transplant community

Role

  • To promote excellence in the management in patients undergoing lung transplantation

Membership

Membership of the ALTP is open to any Consultant Lung Transplant Physician practising in the UK. Training grade physicians (usually St6+) may attend meetings by invitation.
