Submissions are invited annually for the BTS and NHSBT Dragons’ Den competition.
The competition is hosted at the Annual Congress in the style of the popular TV show with trainees pitching their proposals to a panel of clinical academics with experience of transplant research.
The competition is supported by surgeons, physicians, statisticians and other key stakeholders including patient/public involvement representatives and is a valuable opportunity for trainees to receive early support to further develop their ideas into successful trial proposals.
The competition is open to medical & surgical trainees of all grades and early career researcher allied health professionals. Collaborative and trainee society submissions are encouraged.
Clinical trial proposals can relate to any solid organ transplantation setting including transplant work-up, pre-, peri- and post-operative settings and long term follow up.

Rules for submission
Submissions are invited for the BTS & NHSBT Dragons’ Den competition. The competition is open to medical and surgical trainees of all grades and early career researcher allied health professionals.

The Judging panel will include members of the UK Organ Donation and Transplantation Research Network and the BTS Clinical Trials Committee.
