Professor Mirza was appointed Consultant of Hepatic, Pancreas, and Hepatobiliary (HPB) Surgery and Transplant Surgeon at the University of Birmingham UK in 1996. He also has a special interest in surgery for liver, pancreas, and bile duct cancer. In addition, he specialises in liver and intestinal transplant surgeries and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS). He has published over 350 peer-reviewed papers.

In honour of Professor Darius Mirza, who retired in September 2022, and after much international interest, we are finally planning to hold his Festschrift on 24th May 2024.

Both the academic daytime sessions (9am to 5.30pm) and the evening dinner (6.45pm – 9.30pm) will be held at:
